The monthly prize, in full

These are the rules PANPET Play actually runs on. The numbers below are read from the system that decides the winners, so this page cannot quietly disagree with it.

It is a contest of skill, not a draw

Nothing here is random. Winners are the players with the highest combined score for the month. There is no ballot, no draw and no element of chance in who wins — which is deliberate, and it is why there is no entry fee and nothing to buy.

Who can enter

• Anyone with a PANPET account can play, appear on the leaderboard and see where they stand.
• To win a prize you must be 18 or over, with your date of birth on your account. That is the only reason we ask for it.
• You must have played at least 3 different games during the month.
• Staff of Link 2 Link Asia Pacific and their immediate families may play but cannot win.
• One account per person. Accounts that appear to be duplicates of each other are not eligible.

How the winner is decided

Scores are not comparable between games — one tops out near a hundred thousand, another below ten. So they are not added up. Instead:

• In each game, your best score of the month is ranked against everyone else who played that game.
• Your position becomes points out of 1,000. Top of a game is 1,000.
• Your 3 highest-scoring games are added together. The rest are dropped.

So you cannot win by grinding a single game, and you do not have to play all eight. If two players finish level, the one who reached that total first is placed higher.

The prizes

One set of prizes per month across every game — not one per game. Prizes are paid as a voucher. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

When the month closes, and when you hear

• A month runs from the 1st to the last day, Singapore time.
• Scores are checked after the month closes. A run that the system cannot verify does not count — see below.
• Winners are emailed at the address on their account. Check the email you signed up with, including its spam folder.
• The voucher link follows by email within 14 days of the month closing.
• If we cannot reach you, or the voucher cannot be issued to you, within that window, the prize lapses.

Fair play

Every run is issued by our server and checked when you submit it. We confirm that the run used the sequence the server handed out, that its score curve is one the game can actually produce, and that it did not take longer than the clock allows.

A run that fails those checks is recorded and does not count. Your previous best stays as it was. We do not say which check a run failed. Accounts that repeatedly submit runs that do not verify can be excluded from prizes.

Your details

• Only your display name — a first name and an initial — is ever shown on the leaderboard. Your email, date of birth and gender are not.
• Date of birth is used for the age check and nothing else.
• Gender is optional, and "prefer not to say" is a real answer.
• You can download everything we hold about you, or delete it, from your account at any time. Deleting your data removes your scores, so it also removes you from the board.

The boring but necessary part

• The promoter is Link 2 Link Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, Singapore.
• Vouchers are issued by Shopee and Shopee's own terms apply to their use, including any expiry. We cannot extend or replace an expired one.
• We may change these rules or end the contest. If we do, it is announced on this page and takes effect from the following month — never retrospectively, and never to a month already being judged.
• These rules are governed by the laws of Singapore.
